Katy and Pete got married at Brighton Town Hall and had their wedding reception at Court Garden Vineyard in Sussex.
Todd and I were hired to do video only, which was so much fun – which I hope you can tell from the video!
Here’s Katy and Pete’s story:
“Pete and I met in Bordeaux when we were both working and living there in 2008 (between years at university) and after a lovely slow-burn start we’ve been together for 11 years now. We’ve done long distance by plane and train and moved in together in Brighton (my home town) together finally about 5 years ago.
“Pete asked me to marry him when he whisked me off back to Bordeaux for our ten year anniversary. As it was my birthday weekend I suspected nothing! He got down on one knee in the Miroir d’Eau fountain and then took me to the Fête du Vin to celebrate – also where we’d spent many happy afternoons when we first met.
“Our wedding’s very personal – pretty much everything is home-made or organised by us and as a massive nerd and event planning aficionado I have loved every moment. Pete’s making the cake himself, Mum’s making my dress from scratch and my sister Bridget Meyne created our invitations – https://www.bridget-m.com/
“Advice for future couples planning their own wedding – get a spreadsheet on the go! Lots of good templates available online, just stick to your budget and your guns and take a bit of advice from professionals you trust.”
“Anna it’s AMAZING! How did you get everything?! Every little look, stupid moment, laugh, horrible dance move – you’ve got everything and it’s so beautiful. You and Todd are LEGENDS. We absolutely love it. The video is glorious and I can’t wait to show everyone!”
