If you've not been to Beak Brewery in Lewes, put it on your list immediately. Even if you're not getting married there, go for the beer. It's exceptional.
Beak is a working craft brewery and taproom tucked in Lewes, and it has everything I want in a wedding venue: brilliant natural light, heaps of character, exposed brick and timber, and an atmosphere that feels immediately relaxed the moment you walk in. Nobody's stiff at Beak. Nobody's doing their 'wedding face'. They're cracking open a cold one and having the best day of their lives.
What the photography looks like here
A few things I particularly love shooting at Beak: the ceremony light if you're doing it in the main space, the natural chaos of a taproom reception where people are wandering and chatting, and the late-night stuff when everyone's properly into it and the inhibitions have dissolved.
Practical stuff
Beak does weddings their own way, so worth getting in touch with them directly about availability and packages. They're brilliant people who genuinely care about making it a good day.
