When Frankie and Brett got in touch with me last March I had 4 other people also enquiring for the same date – it was popular! (By the time they’d booked I’d had 9!) I’d like to say I chose Frankie and Brett because they asked first, but I’ll be honest – it was because we clicked straight away, they were awesome and sounded so much fun. I hope she doesn’t mind me doing this, but Frankie’s initial email won me over:
“We met online, through a mutual love of weirdness, decided to meet in person and have been together ever since – that’s 6 years of mutual weirdness! We fell in love with The Bell because it isn’t your typical wedding venue. After visiting a lot of beautiful but fairly soulless places we started to feel that perhaps we didn’t fit into this whole wedding industry of frou-frou frills and clean white prettiness. Then we visited The Bell, and everything fell into place. Here was somewhere we could be us, we can be weird and loving and funny.”
How much do you love them right now?! I hate frou frou and prettiness too, we were a perfect match! And their wedding day didn’t disappoint. The Bell in Ticehurst is a unique, quirky venue (taxidermy on the walls, neon signs and an actual “love nest” for the wedding night). The whole day was a hoot – and the best bit was Anna Sin performing in the evening – a 50s style band who got the dancefloor going so well I assumed Frankie and Brett had prepped the whole wedding party to get on the dance floor in advance! I love the photo of the enthusiastic partner dancing where two girls smashed into each other!
Oh and can I just mention – Frankie made the bridesmaids dresses! Who wouldn’t want her as a best mate?
