I met Jenny and Ian at Frankie and Brett's wedding at The Bell in Ticehurst back in 2016 - and in late 2018 they got in touch to book me as their wedding photographer! I loved that they'd sent me a photo I'd taken of them at the wedding - it made my day that they loved that photo so much!
Jenny and Ian are so great together - they're always laughing together and you can just see they're an awesome pair. They got married at Tyrrells Wood in Surrey, and we had literally all 4 seasons in one day - who else gets SNOW and an EPIC SUNSET on their wedding day?!
Here's their story!
"We met at a charity event where we visited all 270 tube stations in just over 18 hours - it was a long day!
"Ian proposed at home with an amazing book of photos that he'd put together which included all of our adventures so far.
"We wanted to have as many personal touches as possible. A friend designed the invitations, another friend is playing guitar during the ceremony, the band includes an old friend of the groom. We created the table centrepieces and place settings ourselves. The tables are named after places we've visited as a couple, using vintage travel posters to mark each table. Jenny is a big fan of the Inspector Morse series, and so chose a Jaguar Mk 2 as her wedding car. Ian is a huge fan of VW campervans (although currently does not own one), so his friend obliged by transporting Ian and his best man his campervan.
"Our advice for future couples planning a wedding is to be sure about what you want and to stop when you find it - be decisive and be organised. We planned this wedding in 5.5 months, and it's not as hard as some people make out, so long as you are willing to be realistic and stick to a budget!
"We chose Anna as our photographer because she sat opposite us during dinner when she photographed our friends' wedding (Frankie and Brett, The Bell in Ticehurst Wedding). We thought she was great fun, and once we saw the amazing photos she had taken of the day (including a fantastic photo of the two of us dancing), we knew we would book her when we got married. 3 years later, we have Anna for our own wedding!"
