Jade and Lewis were our SEVENTH Tunnels Beaches Wedding!
It was forecast to be thunderstorms all day, which we found kind of exciting (as long as they could still have the outdoor ceremony!) and when we saw Jade in the morning, she felt the same. She didn’t care if it rained (she’s a geography teacher, so loves all of nature, rain and all!) and is just an all-round awesome and chilled person so we knew the day would be fun.
Early on in the day, Jade told me her fave photo of ours is the one of the couple walking down the beach, and the mum is in the background sunning herself on a rock. She loves those quirky photos, which are our absolute faves to shoot, so we had full permission to capture all the fun things we saw, and give Jade and Lewis some laughs when they looked back at their photos.
Whenever we shoot at Tunnels Beaches, we look at the tide times in the days leading up to it, because there’s a fab tidal pool that shows itself for only a few hours a day, and is one of the best spots for cool wedding photos. We ended up having a tiny sliver of time available to us before it got dark, so we legged it down there just as the pool edges started showing, and just before it got too dark. They also brought their pup Bailey along for the photos, which made for some seriously cute photos.
Oh talking of Bailey, instead of just doing the traditional bridesmaids and dad first look, Jade did a DOG first look! Bailey waited at the bottom of the stairs for his mum to come down! Seriously the cutest thing I’ve ever seen at a wedding.
