When we Zoomed Natalie and Hector before they booked us, their plans involved a ceremony at the Bandstand on Brighton beach. We love the bandstand so that was all good – until we realised Pride was on that weekend! Nat and Hector changed their plans to have the whole thing in Nat’s parents’ back garden in Sussex – and we’re so glad they did! It was a perfect back garden wedding.
Even better it was a relatively no-waste wedding, too. Nat’s dress was from a charity shop, as was the crockery, and the flowers were all from neighbours’ gardens. The neighbours also helped out with clearing up all day, and making sure everyone had drinks. How lovely is that?!
They hired a BBQ team, a celebrant, and a marquee and portaloos – but apart from that (and us!), we were the only suppliers. It was so chilled as a result – it’s all you need, really!
Here are the photos, which will hopefully inspire more couples to have a low-key low-waste wedding.
