Want to get the perfect wedding photos? Blackstock Barn wedding venue is the answer. As a photographer who’s seen it all, I’m excited to share my insider tips on how to make the most of this stunning Sussex venue. Here’s how to capture the magic.
If you’re planning a wedding at Blackstock Barn in Sussex, here are all the things you need to know to have a fabulous wedding, from where to hold your ceremony to the best secret photo spots
Blackstock Barn Venue
Blackstock Country Estate is one of my fave wedding venues because the staff really care about you, and are also super lovely. The grounds are awesome too – there’s a terrace (with one of the best sunsets of all the wedding venues I’ve shot at) and fields and ponds for photos – and for your guests to wander off to when they fancy some time out from small talk with the uncles.
Where to hold your ceremony at Blackstock Barn
Blackstock is licensed to hold civil partnership and wedding ceremonies for up to 180 people in the cosy barn, which always has gorgeous fairy lights up. You can have dinner either in the same barn as the ceremony, or there’s another large bright barn for bigger weddings – we love this one because it’s so light and airy, and we can sneak up to the balcony for wider shots too. Plus, it has a lovely outdoor terrace with tables right outside, perfect for summer weddings, when you can drink in the last of the sunny rays over a cold beer.
Photo ops at Blackstock Barn wedding venue
There’s a small balcony overlooking the bar, which is perfect for setting up a photobooth area – or taking a big group photo from if it’s raining!
I love doing wedding portraits down by the lake.
Sit down dinner in the barn or BBQ/picnic?
The barn has great natural light, so it’s fab for photos!
