Burnt Orange is, frankly, one of the most beautiful restaurant interiors in Brighton. I say this as someone who notices these things. The warm tones, the considered design, the rich textures — it's the kind of space that makes you feel slightly better about yourself just for being in it.
It opened to a lot of excitement and absolutely delivered. The food is brilliant, the vibe is just right — cool without being intimidating, warm without being kitsch — and as a wedding venue it's a genuinely exciting option for couples who care about aesthetics.
From a photography point of view, Burnt Orange is exceptional. The colour palette does so much of the work — everything comes out warm, rich, and cinematic. I barely have to do anything in editing because the light and tones are already so good.
Wedding receptions here tend to feel like really elevated dinner parties. Small-ish guest lists, seriously good food, lots of genuine conversation. The photography reflects that — intimate, warm, real.
What the photography looks like here
The interior shots here are some of my favourite I've ever taken at a wedding venue. But we're also right in the heart of Brighton with loads to work with outside — the streets around North Laine are particularly good for colourful, characterful portraits.
Practical stuff
Burnt Orange works best for smaller, more intimate celebrations. If you've got a big guest list, it might not be the one — but if you're keeping it tight, it's gorgeous.
