Hotel du Vin brings a certain kind of glamour to Brighton weddings - the kind that feels genuinely earned rather than put on. Think excellent wine, beautiful interiors, and a level of service that takes the stress out of the day almost entirely.
There's a reason Hotel du Vin is a perennial favourite for Brighton weddings. The interiors are rich and warm - dark wood, leather, candlelight, gorgeous textiles. It photographs with a kind of editorial quality that's really hard to achieve in more generic spaces. Top tip - the windows in the downstairs dining room may look out onto the street, but I recommend keeping the blinds open for some natural daylight - it will make the space feel more airy and the photos way more gorgeous.
The team there know weddings inside out, which means the day tends to run smoothly. And again - smooth days, happy couples, brilliant photography. It's a formula I can vouch for.
Couples who choose Hotel du Vin tend to care about the details - the wine list, the menu, the table settings. And that attention to detail always comes through in the photography. The aesthetic is considered. Everything looks intentional.
What the photography looks like here
The interiors here are so strong that we could honestly just stay inside and I'd be very happy. But the location in Brighton also gives us easy access to some brilliant portrait spots - the South Downs are about 20 minutes away if you want something dramatic.
There's a gorgeous little terrace outside which means you don't even have to leave the building for photos!
Practical stuff
Hotel du Vin works well for everything from intimate ceremonies to larger receptions. Worth talking to them about exactly what you want - they're very good at making it happen.
