Polly and Chris got married at The Hideaway at Baxby Manor in Yorkshire – it was a festival wedding complete with lanyards with booklets about the event, a massive tipi, and of course alpacas! Oh, I almost forgot, there was also a Yeti guiding drivers to the site!
The ceremony was held in a tipi frame in the blazing sun, and the reception was in the fields – with the party in a giant tipi. There was a pantomime horse, a Sultan DJ, Yorkshire pudding dinner served from a food truck and a full brass band getting everyone dancing all afternoon. The band played during the ceremony too, as well as parading the wedding party up the aisle – the atmosphere was electric. They had a celebrant called Katie who made everyone cry and laugh in equal measure.
All the guests camped on site, while Chris and Polly retired to an epic treehouse in the woods. It was a perfect festival wedding – they put on a fab party!
Polly and Chris say…
“We loved your approach to photography and the style of your photos. We didn’t want traditional stuffy photography and loads of staged shots, we wanted someone who would naturally document the day as it unfolded in a relaxed and fun way. And we thought if we were in pub we could definitely have a pint with you and that’s a good way to judge a working relationship, especially with something as personal as this!”
