Ohhh the Barn at Botley Hill. It’s one of those venues where I walk in and my brain immediately goes “ooh I could do SO much with this”. Here’s why I love it, with photos from Daksha and Mark’s wedding.
Daksha asked me to get some photos of everyone’s colourful fans, and the second I saw that massive window I had an idea: a big group shot in silhouette! I love how it turned out.

Those floor to ceiling windows
The windows are the star of the show. They flood the barn with gorgeous natural light, so your ceremony, speeches and candid moments all look bright and beautiful. And when the sun goes down, the view outside turns into this amazing backdrop for your evening.

You can be really creative
It’s a blank canvas in the best way. Flowers, lighting, colours, a full-on theme: it all works here. If you love the idea of making a venue feel totally yours, this is the place.

A stunning location
The setting is just lovely. Big skies, countryside all around, and loads of spots for couple portraits.

Good to know
- It’s a few separate barns, so you’ll be dashing between them. Totally fine on a dry day, and on a rainy one, just keep a stash of umbrellas by the door.
- It’s cosy in winter too, so it’s a great pick for a November to March wedding.
Getting married at Botley Hill?
I’d love to hear about your plans! Have a look at my prices (Sun-Thurs weddings are cheaper, and winter weddings get a special price), or check your date with me.
Cheers,
Anna
